World Expo 2010: Little Mermaid's Debut

Denmark Pavilion: "Welfairytales"
Located within Zone C of the expo site, the Pavilion's design features a double spiral with both pedestrian and cycling lanes.  The theme, "Welfairytales" - a combination of welfare and fairy tales,  is intended to showcase the story of Danish cities, Danish people and the story of Danish technology and solutions for the future urban living.
Surrounded by a pristine lake, the iconic Little Mermaid sits on a rock located on the ground floor of the pavilion and will stay up until October 2010.
